Make the Coffee Mixture
Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee. In a shallow dish, combine the hot espresso with 0.5 cups of coffee liqueur. Set aside to cool.
Making the Filling

Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 500 grams of mascarpone cheese and 0.5 cups of granulated sugar until smooth. In another bowl, beat 3 egg yolks until pale, then add to the mascarpone mixture along with 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.

Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well incorporated.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Layer the Ingredients
Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the coffee mixture, making sure they are soaked but not soggy. Lay half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer in a rectangular dish.

Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the layer of ladyfingers. Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone filling, finishing with a layer of filling on top.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld. Before serving, dust the top with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
