Preparing the Shrimp

Cook the Shrimp
Once boiling, add the jumbo shrimp to the pot. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Do not overcook.

Cool the Shrimp
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

Drain and Chill
Drain the shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Making the Cocktail Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ketchup, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.

Season the Sauce
Add salt to taste, mixing well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
Assembling the Dish

Prepare the Plate
On a serving platter, arrange the chilled shrimp in a circular pattern.

Add Avocado
Place sliced avocado in between the shrimp for garnish.

Serve with Sauce
Serve the shrimp cocktail with the homemade cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
