Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Bolognese Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened.

  2. 3

    Add Garlic and Meat

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the ground wild boar meat, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 4

    Incorporate Liquids

Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.

  4. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Cover and let it cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Garlic Bread Crumb Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Garlic Crumbs

In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, olive oil, and salt until well combined.

  2. 7

    Toast the Crumbs

Spread the mixture on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Combine and Serve

Toss the cooked fettuccine with the Bolognese sauce. Serve in bowls, topped with toasted garlic bread crumbs and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
