Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ribeye
Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking.
- 2
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C). Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
- 4
Grill the Steaks
Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Adjust timing based on desired doneness.
- 5
Rest the Steaks
Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
Mashed Potatoes Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into roughly equal-sized chunks. This helps them cook evenly.
