Trim and Halve Brussels Sprouts
Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water. Trim the stem ends and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise.
- 2
Mince Garlic
Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely using a knife or a garlic press.
- 3
Prepare Lemon
Zest the lemon using a microplane and then cut it in half to juice it later.
Cooking
- 4
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 5
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, minced garlic, red chili flakes, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- 6
Roast Brussels Sprouts
Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 7
Add Lemon
Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven. Squeeze the juice of the lemon over the sprouts and sprinkle with the lemon zest. Toss to combine.
