Preparing the Bread
- 1
Slice the Bread
Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- 2

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Making the Topping

Prepare the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl. Make sure to remove excess seeds if desired.
- 4
Add Garlic and Basil
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes. Chop the fresh basil leaves and fold them in as well.
- 5
Season the Mixture
Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomato mixture. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss everything gently to combine.
Assembling the Bruschetta

Top the Toasted Bread
Once the bread slices are toasted, remove them from the oven. Spoon the tomato mixture generously on top of each slice.
