Prepare the Burger Patty
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the beef into a 7oz patty.

Cook the Bacon
In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Burger Patty
In the same pan, cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

Melt the Cheese
Place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the burger patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of the burger bun, layer the lettuce, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, bacon, onion rings, and tomato slice. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the Ditch Digger burger immediately with your choice of sides.
