Method

Bread Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over both halves.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered bread halves.

  4. 4

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted. Slice and serve warm.

Pomodoro Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Add the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 7

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the torn basil leaves and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
