Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Lemons

Juice the fresh lemons until you have 1 cup of lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove any seeds or pulp for a smooth lemonade.

  2. 2

    Preparing the Sugar Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine the sugar cane with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved to create a simple syrup. Allow to cool.

  3. 3

    Mixing the Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and ginger syrup. Stir well to combine all flavors.

Serving

  1. 4

    Adding Soda

Just before serving, add the sparkling water or soda to the lemonade mixture in the pitcher. Stir gently to combine without losing the carbonation.

  2. 5

    Garnishing

Pour the Hawaiian lemonade into glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices as desired.
