Toppings

Method

Prepare Waffle Batter

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.

Cook Waffles

  1. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  2. 5

    Cook Waffles

Once preheated, pour an appropriate amount of batter into the waffle iron (usually about 1 cup). Close the lid and cook according to your waffle iron's directions, usually for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Repeat

Remove the cooked waffles and repeat the process with the remaining batter until all waffles are cooked.

Prepare Toppings

  1. 7

    Prepare Strawberries

Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and slice them into quarters.

  2. 8

    Wash Blueberries

Rinse the blueberries under cold water and set aside.

Assemble and Serve

  1. 9

    Plate Waffles

Place a waffle on a plate.

  2. 10

    Add Toppings

Top the waffle with a generous portion of blueberries, sliced strawberries, and a dollop of whipped cream.

  3. 11

    Serve Immediately

Serve the waffles immediately while warm for the best taste.
