Main Course

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove the turkey giblets and rinse the turkey inside and out under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Turkey

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, rosemary, thyme, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the turkey, including underneath the skin.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Turkey

Stuff the cavity of the turkey with the quartered lemon.

  4. 4

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a large pan. Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with the drippings.

Stuffing

  1. 5

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables with bread cubes, sage, thyme, chicken broth, salt, black pepper, and the beaten egg. Mix until well combined.

  3. 7

    Bake the Stuffing

Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish and bake in the oven alongside the turkey for about 30-40 minutes, until golden brown.

Sides

  1. 8

    Blanch Green Beans

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the trimmed green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green. Drain and plunge into ice water to stop the cooking.

  2. 9

    Sauté Green Beans

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the green beans, sliced almonds, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until heated through and almonds are slightly toasted.

Dessert

  1. 10

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and evaporated milk. Beat until smooth.

  2. 11

    Fill the Pie Crust

Pour the pumpkin filling into the pie crust, spreading evenly.

  3. 12

    Bake the Pie

Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 30-40 minutes until the filling is set.
