Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Meunière Sauce

Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub each fillet with olive oil and season generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Roast the Salmon

Place the seasoned salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

    Add Lemon Juice

Remove the salmon from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.

Making Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil Potatoes

Peel and cube the potatoes. Place them in a large pot and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until tender.

  2. 6

    Prepare Garlic

While the potatoes are boiling, peel the garlic cloves and set aside.

  3. 7

    Mash Potatoes

Once the potatoes are fork-tender, drain them and return to the pot. Add the butter, milk, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Making Meunière Sauce

  1. 8

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to foam.

  2. 9

    Add Lemon Juice and Parsley

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Mix well.
