Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack the 3 eggs. Add salt and black pepper. Whisk together until the yolks and whites are fully combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Fillings

Choose your desired fillings from the list and prepare them. For vegetables like bell peppers, onions, and spinach, chop them into small pieces. If using ham or other protein, dice them into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Allow the butter to melt and bubble, but not brown.

  2. 4

    Add the Eggs

Once the butter is melted, pour the whisked eggs into the skillet. Let it cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

Sprinkle your choice of fillings evenly over one half of the omelette. Avoid overloading to ensure proper folding.

  4. 6

    Fold the Omelette

Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, use a spatula to gently fold the omelette in half, covering the fillings. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fully cooked through.

  5. 7

    Serve

Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious three-egg omelette with your choice of fillings!
