French Toast

Method

French Toast Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Custard

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 2

    Dip the Bread

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.

  3. 3

    Cook the Toast

Place the soaked bread slices on the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Add more butter as necessary while cooking.

Topping Preparation

  1. 4

    Assemble the Toppings

Once the French toast is cooked, layer each slice with a slice of ham and a slice of provolone cheese. Allow the cheese to melt slightly before serving.

Country Potatoes Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine the cubed potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the potatoes are evenly coated.

  2. 6

    Roast the Potatoes

Spread the potatoes out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  3. 7

    Add Parmesan

In the last 5 minutes of roasting, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the potatoes and return to the oven until melted and slightly browned.
