Method

Preparation of Parmesan Country Potatoes

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Potatoes

In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Bake Potatoes

Spread the seasoned potatoes onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, stirring halfway through.

  4. 4

    Add Parmesan

During the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the potatoes and return to the oven until melted.

French Toast Preparation

  1. 5

    Make Egg Mixture

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 6

    Heat Pan

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

  3. 7

    Dip Bread

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak for a few seconds on each side.

  4. 8

    Cook French Toast

Place soaked bread slices in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Add more butter to the skillet as needed.

  5. 9

    Assemble Monsieur

Once cooked, place 2 slices of French toast on a plate. Top each slice with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of provolone cheese. Optionally, you can place it under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate and Serve

Serve the French Monsieur hot alongside the Parmesan country potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
