Method

Preparation of the Bread Pudding

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Loaf

Slice the caramel banana gelato loaf into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  3. 3

    Make the Custard Mixture

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes and gently fold until all the bread is coated. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to soak.

  5. 5

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips into the soaked bread mixture.

  6. 6

    Bake

Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.

Serving

  1. 7

    Prepare the Topping

While the bread pudding is baking, slice the banana.

  2. 8

    Serve

Once the pudding is done, let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, drizzled with caramel sauce, and garnished with banana slices.
