Salad Base

Method

Preparing the Caesar Dressing

  1. 1

    Mince Garlic and Anchovies

Finely mince the garlic cloves and anchovy fillets to ensure they blend well into the dressing.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the minced garlic, anchovy fillets, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Emulsify Dressing

While continuously whisking, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the dressing is smooth and emulsified. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 4

    Prepare Romaine Lettuce

Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or salad spinner, then chop or tear into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 5

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce. Pour the homemade Caesar dressing over the lettuce and toss gently to coat.

  3. 6

    Add Croutons and Parmesan

Sprinkle the croutons and grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the salad. Toss gently again to combine.

  4. 7

    Serve

Transfer the salad to serving plates or bowls and serve immediately. Enjoy your homemade Caesar salad!
