Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it is hot and ready for baking.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mixing Ingredients

  1. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  3. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. 6

    Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.

Baking

  1. 7

    Pour Batter into Dish

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

  2. 8

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle the sliced almonds evenly over the top of the batter. Press them gently into the batter.

  3. 9

    Bake

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Finishing Touches

  1. 10

    Cool and Dust

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Dust the top with powdered sugar before slicing.
