Method

Whiskey Making Process

1

Mashing

Start by mashing the yellow corn and barley malt in 12 cups of water. Heat the mixture to 150°F (65°C) and maintain this temperature for about 1 hour.

2

Cooling

After mashing, cool the mixture down to around 70°F (21°C).

3

Fermentation

Add the yeast to the cooled mash and stir well. Cover the mixture and let it ferment in a dark, warm place for about 5-7 days, or until bubbling stops.

4

Distillation

Once fermentation is complete, distill the mash using a pot still or column still. Collect the distillate in separate jars, discarding the heads and tails for a cleaner spirit.

5

Aging

Pour the distillate into a clean container with oak chips and allow it to age for at least 3 months to develop bold and spicy flavors.

6

Flavoring

After aging, add the caramel flavoring to enhance the sweetness and complexity of the whiskey.

7

Bottling

Filter the whiskey and bottle it in clean glass bottles. Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark place until ready to enjoy.
