Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Season the pork shoulder with cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the pork to the skillet and sear on all sides until browned. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

  3. 3

    Simmer

Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Let the pork simmer for about 2 hours, or until it is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  4. 4

    Shred the Pork

Remove the pork from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

  5. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

In a separate skillet or directly over the stove flame, warm the corn tortillas until they are pliable.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

Fill each tortilla with shredded pork and your favorite toppings such as diced onions, cilantro, lime juice, and avocado.
