Method
Preparation Steps
Infuse the Wine
In a saucepan, combine the white wine, dried figs, cinnamon stick, cloves, orange zest, and vanilla bean. Heat gently over low heat until it is warm but not boiling.
Dissolve Sugar
Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
Cool and Strain
Remove from heat and let it cool. Once cooled, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the solids.
Combine with Water
In a clean bottle, combine the strained liquid with the water. Seal the bottle and shake gently to mix.
Maturation
Let the liquor sit in a cool, dark place for at least one week to allow the flavors to develop further.
Serve
After maturation, serve chilled or at room temperature in small glasses. Enjoy your Licor Fino Legui!
