Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Portobello Mushrooms

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium heat. Clean the Portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Mushrooms

Place the seasoned Portobello mushrooms on the grill or skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until tender and juicy.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

While the mushrooms are cooking, wash the lettuce, slice the onion, tomato, and avocado.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Once the mushrooms are cooked, place them on the bottom half of the burger buns. Top with lettuce, onion, tomato slices, and avocado. Place the top half of the buns on and press gently.
