Preparation
Clean the Wings
Thoroughly rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Prepare the Seasoning
In a large bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
Coat the Wings
Place the chicken wings in the bowl with the seasoning mix and toss them until evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes for optimal flavor.
Prepare the Breading
In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Mix well.
Dredge the Wings
Take each seasoned wing and dredge it in the flour-cornstarch mixture until fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
Frying
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Drain the Wings
Once the wings are cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serving
Serve Hot
Serve the Kookaburra Wings hot with your choice of dipping sauces, such as ranch or blue cheese dressing.
