Prepare the Base
In a saucepan, combine milk, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is warm but not boiling.

Make Chocolate Beverage
Stir in cocoa powder and chocolate syrup into the warm milk mixture. Continue to stir until everything is well combined and smooth.

Prepare Coffee Beverage
If you prefer a coffee beverage, brew your coffee as per your preference and add sugar and cinnamon to taste.

Pour your prepared chocolate or coffee beverage into glasses. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
