Base Juice

Method

Base Juice

  1. 1

    Serve Orange

If serving orange juice: chill the fresh orange juice in the refrigerator until cold (about 30–60 minutes) or add 1/2 cup ice to a glass. Pour 1 cup of fresh orange juice into a 12–16 oz glass. Stir briefly and serve with an optional lemon wedge or mint sprig.

  2. 2

    Serve Apple

If serving apple juice: chill the fresh apple juice in the refrigerator until cold (about 30–60 minutes) or add 1/2 cup ice to a glass. Pour 1 cup of fresh apple juice into a 12–16 oz glass. Stir briefly and serve with an optional lemon wedge or mint sprig.

  3. 3

    Serve Cranberry

If serving cranberry juice: chill the cranberry juice in the refrigerator until cold (about 30–60 minutes) or add 1/2 cup ice to a glass. Pour 1 cup of cranberry juice into a 12–16 oz glass. Taste and, if desired, sweeten with up to 1 teaspoon simple syrup or honey and stir until dissolved. Serve with an optional lime wedge or mint sprig.

Optional Additions

  1. 4

Ice: Add ice to glass(s) if you didn't pre-chill juices. Use about 1/2 to 1 cup of ice per serving depending on preference.

  2. 5

Garnish: Add a lemon or lime wedge to the rim and a sprig of fresh mint if desired. For cranberry, lime pairs particularly well; for orange or apple, lemon or mint are good complements.

  3. 6

Adjust Sweetness: For tart cranberry juice, stir in simple syrup or honey to taste (start with 1 tsp and increase if needed). For orange or apple juice, typically no additional sweetener is required.
