Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the meat mixture into a single burger patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patty

Place the burger patty on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bun

While the patty is cooking, slice the burger bun in half if not pre-sliced. Toast it lightly on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

Once the burger patty is cooked to your liking, place it on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Top the patty with 2 tablespoons of ketchup and place a whole green olive on top.

  3. 7

    Complete the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the burger, press down gently, and your Single Olive Burger is ready to serve!
