Burger Patties

Mushroom Topping

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Sauté Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes until they are soft.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic and Season

Add the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Continue to sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the mushrooms are golden brown.

Cook the Burgers

  1. 5

    Grill or Pan-Fry

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach the desired doneness.

  2. 6

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Layer Ingredients

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Add the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and tomato slices.

  3. 9

    Add Condiments

Top with your favorite condiments and place the top half of the bun on the burger.
