Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water reaches a boil, remove from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If you desire a sweetened tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or honey to the hot tea while it is still warm. Stir until completely dissolved.

Chilling the Tea

  1. 5

    Cool the Tea

Let the tea cool to room temperature, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.

Serving the Iced Tea

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

In a glass, add 3 cups of ice cubes.

  2. 7

    Pour Tea

Once the tea is chilled, pour the tea over the ice cubes in the glass.

  3. 8

    Add Flavoring

Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and fresh mint leaves to the glass for added flavor.

  4. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with extra mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing iced tea!
