Method
Preparing the Burger
- 1
Forming the Patties
In a bowl, combine 1 lb of ground beef with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

Cooking the Patties
Using the same skillet, add the burger patties and cook over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place 1 slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger

Toasting the Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly in a separate skillet or in the oven until golden brown.

Building the Burger
Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked burger patty with melted Swiss cheese on top, followed by 2 slices of bacon, sautéed mushrooms, a lettuce leaf, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
