Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Season the Beef

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the seasoned meat into a burger patty about 3/4 inch thick.

Cook the Bacon and Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In the same skillet, using the bacon drippings, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

Cook the Burger

  1. 5

    Grill the Patty

In a separate skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patty over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it reaches desired doneness.

  2. 6

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the patty and cover to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Spread Mayonnaise

On the bottom half of the burger bun, spread the mayonnaise.

  2. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

Place the lettuce leaf on top of the mayonnaise, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, and finally the tomato slice.

  3. 9

    Top the Burger

Finish with the top half of the burger bun.
