Preparing the Burger
- 1
Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 lb of ground beef, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of black pepper. Mix gently and divide the mixture into two equal portions. Form each portion into a patty that is about 1/2 inch thick.

Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side or until browned. Flip the patties and place 2 oz of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
