Method

Meatball Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, beaten egg, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Using your hands, form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet used for the meatballs, add olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic and Tomatoes

Add the minced garlic to the onions and sauté for about 1 minute. Then, add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

  3. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes, then return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
