Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Make the Brookie Batter
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Mix Together
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Bake the Brookies
Pour the brookie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let it cool.

Prepare the Cookie Dough
In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.

In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix Together
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.

Bake the Cookies
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the cookie dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden. Let them cool on a wire rack.
