Cheesesteak BLT Ingredients

Method

Cheesesteak BLT Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the grilled steak with salt and black pepper. Grill it over medium-high heat until cooked to your desired doneness, about 4-6 minutes per side for medium rare. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Onions

In the same skillet used for the bacon, add olive oil and sauté the sliced onion over medium heat until they are soft and caramelized, about 5-8 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the sub rolls in half and spread mayonnaise on both sides. Layer the lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom half of each roll. Add the sliced grilled steak, topped with sautéed onions and crispy bacon. Finally, place the white American cheese slices on top.

  5. 5

    Melt the Cheese

If desired, place the assembled sub rolls under a broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the broiler, close the sandwich and slice in half if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your Cheesesteak BLT!
