Preparation of Wagyu

  1. 1

    Cook the Wagyu

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the American Wagyu beef for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest before slicing.

Making the Slaw

  1. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Shred the green cabbage and red cabbage, and grate the carrot. Combine these vegetables in a large bowl.

  2. 3

    Mix the Slaw Dressing

In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

  3. 4

    Combine the Slaw

Pour the dressing over the shredded vegetables and mix until everything is evenly coated. Set aside for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Assembling the Sub

  1. 5

    Prepare the Sub Rolls

Slice the sub rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through, leaving a hinge.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread a generous amount of Russian dressing on the inside of each roll. Place the sliced Wagyu beef on the bottom of each roll, then add a layer of provolone cheese followed by a generous scoop of the prepared slaw.

  3. 7

    Serve

Close the rolls gently and serve immediately. Enjoy your American Wagyu Slaw Be Jo!
