Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation of the Wagyu Roast

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) to prepare for slow roasting.

  2. 2

    Season the Beef

Rub the American Wagyu beef roast with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, ensuring all sides are coated.

  3. 3

    Roast the Beef

Place the seasoned roast on a roasting rack in a baking pan. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat. Roast in the preheated oven until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, which should take about 3-4 hours.

  4. 4

    Rest the Beef

Once done, remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Assembly of the Sandwich

  1. 5

    Slice the Beef

Using a sharp knife, slice the rested Wagyu roast thinly against the grain.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and dry the lettuce. Slice the tomatoes and onion into thin rings.

  3. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

On a large platter or individual plates, pile the sliced Wagyu beef high. Top with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, and a generous dollop of mayonnaise.

  4. 8

    Serve

Serve the American Wagyu roast beef sandwiches immediately, allowing guests to enjoy while warm.
