Method

Sandwich Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wagyu Beef

In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the American Wagyu beef for about 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the French rolls in half. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the inside of each roll. Place a generous amount of sliced Wagyu beef on the bottom half of each roll, then top with a slice of Swiss cheese. Sprinkle a dash of black pepper over the cheese.

Au Jus Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Au Jus

In a saucepan, combine the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Finishing Touches

  1. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven.

  2. 5

    Serve

Serve the sandwiches hot with a side of the prepared Au Jus for dipping.
