Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the onions, mushrooms, and hot or sweet peppers. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beef

Slice the American Wagyu beef into thin strips against the grain to ensure tenderness.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the mushrooms and peppers and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until softened. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove the vegetable mixture from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Wagyu Beef

In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high and add the sliced American Wagyu beef. Cook for 3-5 minutes until browned, stirring frequently. The beef should be cooked to your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked vegetable mixture to the skillet with the Wagyu beef. Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2 minutes.

  4. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Divide the beef and vegetable mixture into four portions in the skillet. Top each portion with two slices of white American cheese. Cover the skillet with a lid to allow the cheese to melt for about 2 minutes.

  5. 7

    Assemble the Cheesesteaks

Slice the sub rolls or hoagie bread open. Using a spatula, carefully place the cheesy beef and vegetable mixture into each roll. Serve hot.
