Method

Hibachi Steak

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and pepper. Add ribeye steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet on high heat. Remove steak from marinade and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  3. 3

    Garnish

Slice the steak against the grain and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Miso Soup

  1. 4

    Prepare the Broth

In a pot, bring dashi stock to a boil. Reduce heat and add miso paste, stirring until dissolved.

  2. 5

    Add Ingredients

Add cubed tofu and soaked seaweed to the pot. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

  3. 6

    Serve

Ladle soup into bowls and sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.

Rice

  1. 7

    Rinse the Rice

Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until water runs clear.

  2. 8

    Cook the Rice

In a pot, combine rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.

California Roll

  1. 9

    Prepare the Sushi Rice

Cook sushi rice as per package instructions. Once cooked, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt into the rice. Let cool.

  2. 10

    Assemble the Roll

Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat, spread a layer of rice, and top with cucumber, avocado, and crab meat. Roll tightly and slice into pieces.

Crab Wontons

  1. 11

    Make the Filling

In a bowl, combine crab meat, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.

  2. 12

    Fill the Wontons

Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold over to seal.

  3. 13

    Fry the Wontons

Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry wontons for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Pork Gyoza

  1. 14

    Make the Filling

In a bowl, combine ground pork, chopped cabbage, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sliced green onions, and salt. Mix thoroughly.

  2. 15

    Fill the Gyoza

Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each gyoza wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold to seal.

  3. 16

    Cook the Gyoza

Heat oil in a skillet. Add gyoza and fry for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Add water to the pan, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.

Asian Slaw Salad

  1. 17

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced red bell pepper, and chopped cilantro.

  2. 18

    Dress the Salad

Pour sesame dressing over the salad and toss well to combine. Serve immediately.
