Method

Hibachi Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Salmon

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the salmon for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and flaky. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Miso Soup

  1. 4

    Heat Water

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. 5

    Mix Miso Paste

Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat and stir in the miso paste until fully dissolved.

  3. 6

    Add Tofu and Seaweed

Add the cubed tofu and dried seaweed to the pot. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

  4. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Rice

  1. 8

    Rinse Rice

Rinse 1 cup of jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

  2. 9

    Cook Rice

In a saucepan, combine rinsed rice, 1.5 cups of water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.

California Roll

  1. 10

    Prepare Sushi Rice

Spread 1 cup of cooked sushi rice on a bamboo mat covered with plastic wrap.

  2. 11

    Layer Ingredients

Place 1 nori sheet on top of the rice, then layer with julienned cucumber, sliced avocado, and crab meat.

  3. 12

    Roll the Sushi

Using the bamboo mat, roll the sushi tightly. Slice into 6 pieces and serve with soy sauce.

Crab Wontons

  1. 13

    Mix Filling

In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, and garlic powder.

  2. 14

    Fill Wontons

Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water and fold over to seal.

  3. 15

    Fry Wontons

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry wontons until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Pork Gyoza

  1. 16

    Prepare Filling

In a bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped green onions, and soy sauce.

  2. 17
