Prepare the Edamame
Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.

Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Steam the Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the edamame pods to the pot. Cover and steam for about 5-6 minutes until the pods are tender and bright green.

Drain and Season
After steaming, carefully drain the edamame in a colander. Sprinkle the sea salt over the edamame while they are still hot, tossing to combine.

Serve the Edamame
Transfer the salted edamame to a serving bowl. For an extra kick, you can add red pepper flakes and a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
