Method

Mushroom Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Clean Mushrooms

Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt.

  3. 3

    Remove Stems

Carefully twist and remove the stems from the mushrooms. Set aside the caps and finely chop the stems.

  4. 4

    Season Caps

In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the mushroom caps and toss to coat them evenly.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped basil, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.

  2. 6

    Add Chopped Stems

Stir in the finely chopped mushroom stems into the filling mixture.

Stuffing and Baking

  1. 7

    Stuff the Mushroom Caps

Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the cream cheese filling.

  2. 8

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 9

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

  4. 10

    Serve

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your stuffed mushrooms warm!
