Melt the Chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
Mixing the Batter

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

Mix Everything Together
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir to combine. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
Baking

Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft and slightly jiggly.
Serving

Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the ramekins for 1 minute. Carefully invert onto plates and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
