Method

Brownie Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars and Eggs

Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter and mix until well combined. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  6. 6

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

  7. 7

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. 8

    Cool and Cut

Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares.

Serving Directions

  1. 9

    Serve with Ice Cream

Place a brownie square on a plate and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
