Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Melt the unsalted butter and pour it into the bowl. Mix until all crumbs are moistened.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Use the back of a measuring cup to evenly distribute and pack it down.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and mix until completely combined.

  2. 6

    Add Flavorings

Mix in the vanilla extract and sour cream, blending well.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. 8

    Add Flour

Sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the mixture and gently fold it in until just incorporated.

  5. 9

    Pour Filling into Crust

Carefully pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan.

Baking the Cheesecake

  1. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly.

  2. 11

    Cool the Cheesecake

Once baked, turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for about 1 hour. This helps prevent cracking.

  3. 12

    Chill the Cheesecake

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before removing from the springform pan.
