Directions
- 1
Prepare the Chai
In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add chai tea bags and steep for 5-7 minutes until strong.
- 2
Add Ginger
Peel and finely grate 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger. Stir the grated ginger into the hot chai and let it steep for an additional 2 minutes for a spicier kick.
- 3
Strain the Tea
Remove the chai tea bags and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the ginger pieces. Allow the chai to cool to room temperature.
- 4
Mix the Drink
In a large glass or cocktail shaker, combine the cooled chai tea, 1 cup of grapefruit juice, and 1 tablespoon of honey or sweetener. Stir or shake well to combine all ingredients.
- 5
Add Soda
Slowly pour in 1 cup of soda water to the mixture, stirring gently to combine without losing carbonation.
- 6
Serve
Fill a glass with ice and pour the stormy weather mixture over the ice. Garnish with grapefruit slices.
