Method
Mashing
Mash the Grains
In a large mash tun, combine the Pale Malt, Pilsner Malt, and Flaked Wheat with 6 liters of water. Heat to 152°F (67°C) and maintain this temperature for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Boiling
Boil the Wort
After mashing, sparge the grains and transfer the wort to a kettle. Bring the wort to a boil and add Hallertau Hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding Citra Hops in the last 15 minutes of the boil.
Fermentation
Cool and Ferment
Cool the wort to around 70°F (21°C) and transfer to a fermentation vessel. Add the Farmhouse Ale Yeast and Key Lime Juice. Seal the vessel and let it ferment for 1-2 weeks at room temperature.
Bottling
Aging
Age the Beer
Allow the bottled beer to carbonate at room temperature for 1-2 weeks. After carbonation, refrigerate the bottles.
Serving
Serve and Enjoy
