Cooking Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Cook Pasta
Add 8 oz of pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
Cooking Vegetables

Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Vegetables
Add the sliced bell pepper, zucchini, carrot, broccoli, and halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Combining Ingredients

Combine Pasta and Vegetables
Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss together to combine.

Add Sauce Ingredients
Pour in the lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, and reserved pasta water. Toss again to coat. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Serving

Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat, sprinkle chopped fresh basil on top, and serve immediately.
