Method
Mushroom Preparation
- 1
Clean the Mushrooms
Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Avoid soaking them in water as they can absorb moisture.
- 2
Prepare the Flour Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the seasoning.

Prepare the Breadcrumbs
Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow dish and set aside for dredging the mushrooms.
- 5
Coat the Mushrooms
Dip each mushroom first into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully coated.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of bread in; it should sizzle immediately.

Drain and Serve
Once fried, remove the mushrooms using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot.
