Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stem, and finely dice them into small pieces.

Mince the Garlic
Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely.

Chop the Basil
Wash the basil leaves and chop them roughly.
Mix the Topping

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently until well mixed.
Toast the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices on a diagonal.

Toast the Slices
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
Assemble the Bruschetta

Top the Toasts
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted baguette.
